Rick Campbell has been designing receivers for many years. His August 1992 QST article about the R1 Direct Conversion Receiver really brought DC receivers to a new level. Since that time he has published several more articles and presented several papers about high performance single signal DC receivers. Go to my Links Page to find more links to other articles by KK7B. Most are on the ARRL Web site. Right now the only KK7B receiver I have available is the microR2. This past year Rick produced a design for a converter for the microR2 that can be used for any band from 20 - 6 meters. He also has a design for a 2 meter converter that can be used with the microR2 or any other receiver that covers the 40 meter band. The converter kits are all available now. I do plan on producing the miniR2, R2Pro, and the Binaural Receiver kits again. |
