The very popular TiCK Keyers have been around for more than ten years. The TiCK2 was first described in the October 1997 issue of QST. Embedded Research (N2JGU) still produces the kits, and Kanga US handles the sales and marketing. A version of the TiCK Keyer has been in the ARRL Handbook for the past several years
The TiCK2 is a good basic keyer with many features like Iambic Modes A & B, Speed adjust, Side tone, Paddle select, manual key mode, and a 25 character memory. The TiCK4 has all those features plus a beacon mode, non-volatile parameter storage, and two 50 character memories. The TiCK-EMB has all the features of the TiCK4 along with better RF/static protection and battery backup. All parts are mounted on the board for the -EMB model, while the TiCK2 and TiCK4 have the jacks, buttons, etc., mounted off the board. The -2 and -4 are easily built into your rig, while the -EMB version makes a superb standalone keyer in it's own enclosure.
